ABOUT US

STS Academy bridges the gap between inner-city youth who prosper and benefit from the public school system and those who struggle and sometimes fail. We help to bridge this gap by establishing frequent and direct communication between parents, teachers, students and STS. We refer to this communication as The Ultimate Partnership.

STS Academy’s Outstanding Staff

STS employs skilled Credentialed Teachers to work with all Junior High and High School Participants. Further, Teacher Aides supplement and asisit our credentialed teachers at each location, and Coordinators insure effective communication between parents, teachers, and students.

STS, in collaboration with the City of Pittsburg, recently initiated a Special Project at Hillview Elementary School “Today A Reader, Tomorrow a Leader”. This reading intervention program encourages the love of reading in middle school students and their families and includes competition between grades. Students earn prizes and bonuses.

The STS Commitment: Where others have failed, STS will meet the needs of Pittsburg’s Public School students. Although we have no patented approach to academic enrichment, the STS staff will succeed by enthusiastically and competently doing whatever it takes to address the individual needs of its students. Our primary goal is to ensure that each student is prepared for each class each day. The STS approach will effectively supplement daily classroom instructions and ensure success for each student we serve by increasing their preparedness, interest, and confidence. The STS coordinators will carefully review the progress of each student each week, and any student who desires success (and is willing to work with us) will succeed with the support offered at STS. Parents, teachers and students agree, studying at STS has greatly improved our students’ academic and overall performance in the classroom!
The cost to attend STS is extremely affordable and sometimes free thanks to the generous contributions and donations from government, corporations and private individuals. No student is refused entry into STS due to lack of funds, and we guarantee improvement for every committed student!
