ABOUT US STS Academy bridges the gap between inner-city youth who prosper and benefit from the public school system and those who struggle and sometimes fail. STS Academy bridges this gap by establishing frequent and direct communication between parents, teachers, students and STS. We refer to this communication as The Ultimate Partnership. STS Range of Services Grades K-12 Serving Over 1,500 Students Daily Over 11 Site Locations Elementary School (Grades 1-5)
 Monday through Friday, starting immediately after the last bell until 6:00 PM, services are provided at each student’s home school and other Elementary Sites.. Students receive Homework Assistance, Enrichment/Recreation Activities & Tutoring from certified instructors who follow-up with classroom teachers. Enrichment Activities include Arts & Crafts, Math & Science Projects, Games, Writing and school district wide competition in Spelling & Chess. Recreation Activities include district and regional competition in Track, Soccer and other sports with transportation provided. Jr. High School (Grades 6-8)  Homework Assistance Enrichment/Recreation & Tutoring are offered Monday through Friday, starting immediately after the last bell until 6:00 PM at 329 East Leland Road in Pittsburg. Transportation is provided by STS. Coordinators perform weekly follow up with classroom teachers and chart progress. Other services include district wide & regional enrichment & sport competition.
High School (Grades 9-12) 
This highly innovative program, was awarded the 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant, and includes a variety of important services including:
Homework Assistance & Tutoring Preparation for High School Exit Exam Preparation for the SAT Exam & ACT Exam Computer Tech Jr., Auto Shop, Cooking, Entrepreneurship, Teens to Teach, Multi Media, Mentoring, Fashion Design, Recording Studio & Driver Training, Credit Recovery Program, Fitness Program   
STS partners with many agencies in the City of Pittsburg to provide services including but not limited to the City of Pittsburg, Pittsburg Unified School District (PUSD), First Baptist Church, One Day At A Time and others. In 2009 STS entered into an agreement with the City of Pittsburg to provide all youth and teen services previously provided by the city except sports programs. In 2005 STS contracted with PUSD to provide after school services at three of its elementary schools. Today STS provide staff/services for all elementary schools and supervision at all but three of PUSD elementary schools. All services are provided in a safe healthy environment, with a nutritious snacks provided daily. STS has equipped all sites with computers for homework assistance, enrichment, lectures, labs and/or tests. STS Academy’s Outstanding Staff & Activities STS currently employs 11 skilled Credentialed Teachers, and over 75 other staff members. In additional to academic, enrichment and recreation after school program; ● Provide fresh produce to the families of the STS elementary & middle school students weekly - in collaboration with the PUSD and Contra Costa County Food Bank, ●Provide Spring & Winter break activities for elementary & middle school students ●Provide summer camps for approximate 750 elementary & middle school students ●Adult literacy (Computer software & Fashion Design) ●Construct a community garden for LMH district The STS Commitment: Where others have failed, STS will meet the needs of Pittsburg’s Public School students. Although we have no patented approach to academic enrichment, the STS staff will succeed by enthusiastically and competently doing whatever it takes to address the individual needs of its students. Our primary goal is to ensure that each student is prepared for each class each day. The STS approach will effectively supplement daily classroom instructions and ensure success for each student we serve by increasing their preparedness, interest, and confidence. The STS coordinators will carefully review the progress of each student, and any student who desires success (and is willing to work with us) will succeed with the support offered at STS. Parents, teachers and students agree, studying at STS has greatly improved our students’ academic and overall performance in the classroom! The cost to attend STS is extremely affordable and sometimes free thanks to the generous contributions and donations from government, corporations and private individuals. No student is refused entry into STS due to lack of funds, and every student will success through their efforts with help from our trained professionals!
