Community Service

Welcome to STS Community Service Program

The purpose of this handbook is to provide students with an overview of STS Academy’s Community Service Program and assist them with finding Community Service projects that may be of interest.

Volunteer opportunities allow students to make a contribution to the community, help those in need and gain valuable work experience. The goal of the STS Community Service Program is to help students complete the necessary community service hours to graduate from high school as well as provide interesting, rewarding and positive lifelong experiences.

Thirty-five (35) hours of non-paid community service must be performed by students prior to high school graduation.

We are here to support you throughout this experience.

Mission Statement

STS Academy bridges the gap between inner-city youth who prosper and benefit from the public school system and those who struggle and sometimes fail. We help to bridge this gap by establishing frequent and direct communication between parents, teachers, students and STS. We refer to this communication as The Ultimate Partnership.
